Carol A. Roberts, also an IU graduate and an experienced paralegal, and a secretary/receptionist. All employees have state-of-the-art computers and online research facilities available to them. Clients are met in a fireplace-warmed conference room or offices furnished with antiques and collectibles. At-home conferences or hospital visits can be scheduled for the aged, ill or the seriously injured.
CRIMINAL
Jim Roberts has served as a State Prosecutor and was on the Federal Prosecutor’s staff and has tried more than one hundred criminal jury trials as either a prosecutor or a defense counsel. Whether the charge is a minor misdemeanor or a major felony, when your liberty is at risk, you need experience on your side!
CHILD CUSTODY
Who will raise your children?
No cases are more serious than those that affect your rights to be with and raise your children.
Jim Roberts is an experienced litigator in contested child custody, guardianship and adoption cases. He will handle your family law matters with personal empathy and professional skill. The office works with and recommends clients to the State’s leading custody evaluators and forensic psychologists. If custody is in question, you need experience on your side.
PROBATE
Probate is complex! The duties of the administration of the estate of a loved one often fall on the shoulders of a family member who is already dealing with feelings of grief and loss. There is no substitute for the assistance of an experienced law firm in these matters. Jim Roberts has the experience to help you with these difficult matters.
PERSONAL INJURY
Jim Roberts accepts personal injury cases on a contingent fee basis. There is no fee if you don’t get a settlement or a favorable verdict. Although many cases are settled by negotiation or mediation, it is always better to have trial experience on your side.
MEDIATION
Jim Roberts is a certified civil mediator who has recently completed a “Master Mediator” training. This training will serve you well if you choose him to mediate as a mediator, or if he represents you in a case where mediation is ordered.
FEES
Cases are accepted on no fee unless we win basis, and also on hourly rates or flat fees depending on the nature of the case. All fee agreements are fully explained and agreed to in writing for your protection.
